Question: What position do you enjoy playing and why?

- This is my 26th year teaching at University School. I am married to my husband Pat whom is so supportive of my work here at USM and even gets a chance to come and enjoy some of our events. I have one son - Thomas who is the in-house MS Sub here at USM. Thomas is a graduate of the University of Denver 2010 and a USM in 2006.
I enjoy playing defense because I think it's fun. I also like defense because there is a lot of teamwork involved, someone always has your back.
ReplyDeleteI L-O-V-E playing midfield only because you can play both defense and offence. Even though You have to work hard at it it makes you feel good if you do a great pull or show off some of the skills that you have been struggling with for the longest. It makes me have almost as if an adrenaline rush during the spur of the moment while dribbling the ball up the sidelines or passing to a teammate or even just a good touch on the ball. Knowing that you have the defense behind you to sort of let you know its okay to make mistakes, and they have your back if you get beat and forwards are saying that you always have a pass to look forward to. Its really great for me to practise my defense and offence skills all at once, but not caring what position i play as long as I'm out there playing my hardest and having fun!
ReplyDeleteI love playing forward because it's so much fun. I think it's the position I feel the most skilled at. I also like it because you get to pass a lot and you always keep trying to make a goal.
ReplyDeleteI most enjoy playing forward!!!!! I like to be able to have the goal as my prime target, and being able to take the ball right up the field. Additionally forward offers you the ability to cheer on your other teammates and offer them support when you are up the field. I love playing forward for numerous reasons! Additionally I think that I would most definitely not enjoy it as much as I do if I didn't have the great teammates that make my position so enjoyable, and the excellent coaches that help to make me better! Go Wildcats!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI like playing forward if I had the choice because I feel like I am a stronger player at forward, I good at hovering over the posts, and I am not the best runner, which mids have to do a lot. I can play where ever the team needs me though:)

I feel like I can play every position on the field! Where ever the team needs me, I am ready to play everything. This year my favorite position probably is defense. I have grown a lot in this position over the season, and it is a lot different from my usual positions as mid and forward from Disney and last year. I like knowing that people can look to me to back them up.
